How to use - just 3 easy steps

At DatesOut our aim is to get you straight to the date, so we’ve made our site really simple to use. Complete these 3 easy steps and meet your perfect partner.

Step 1 - Create a profile (only takes 1 minute!)

Create your profile under the Create Profile tab. The Describe yourself field is optional but we recommend that you write a little something, so people can get to know you before they meet you.

Need to edit your profile?

You can edit your profile at any time by clicking on My Profile in the top bar and choosing Edit Profile.

Step 2 - Create a date

In order to get noticed by our members you’ll need to create a date. Think of something fun that you’d want to do like, ‘Ping Pong in the park, the winner buys the first drink!’ then post your idea under the Create Date in the top bar. Tip! You can hover over the question marks on the page if you need some help creating your date..

If you’re stuck for inspiration then check out our Date Ideas page. You can find the link at the bottom of the page. We update this section regularly with the best things on that we’ve heard about. Go on, try something new!

Want to edit your date?

Just click on My Dates in the top bar and select the date you wish to edit. Once you’re in the date, you’ll then see the ‘Edit this Date’ button. Click it!

Invite someone to your Date

Once your Date’s been created, you can either wait to see who’s interested or find someone to invite yourself. Just click on People in the top bar to find a guy or girl who strikes your fancy, and from their profile page click on Invite to date.

Step 3 – Get straight to the Date!

You can search for a Date you want to go on from the Dates option in the top bar. Whether it’s drinks at a Cuban bar later tonight or checking out that new art gallery this weekend, we’ve made it super easy to get out and meet someone you like, doing something you love.

Once you’ve found a date you want to go on, just click I want to go on this date. When you’ve shown interest in someone’s date, they’ll be notified and you’ll also be able to send them private messages to take things further..

Private Messaging

To private message someone, you need to show interest in one of their dates, or have invited them to your date. Alternatively you can leave a public comment on a date.

Choose your date partner

And finally, once someone’s expressed interest in your date, you can confirm who you’d like to go with from the Date itself. We’ll then notify your date by email, so you can swap numbers and hang out with each other. Good luck! Xx
